SPIROU - Journal album, n°56
Dupuis, January 1956. Large in-4 hardback, red cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color.
A rare and sought-after early issue of Journal Spirou, corresponding to number 56 of the prestigious series of bound albums published by Dupuis.
This volume includes issues no. 925 to 937, covering the period from January 5 to March 29, 1956, and is a remarkable testimony to the golden age of Franco-Belgian comics.
It features the magazine's great historical signatures, including Franquin, Morris, Jijé, Peyo, Will and Paape, in the full maturity of the Marcinelle school.
The particularly emblematic illustrated cover shows Spirou in pursuit of the Marsupilami, in an urban setting typical of the Dupuis style of the 1950s.
A sought-after collection for fans of vintage Spirou as well as collectors of pre-1960 Dupuis bindings.
Legal deposit: January 1956.
