STRELETSKI (Camille) - Lot 273
STRELETSKI (Camille) French psychiatrist and graphologist. Autograph letter signed "Camille Streletski", addressed to a correspondent. Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours, Wednesday 21st (s.d.). 1 page in-8. Letter in his name, with printed address and visiting hours. Short but interesting letter of intellectual courtesy in which Camille Streletski acknowledges receipt of a recently received work: "I have just received Trois figures, which I shall read, like everything else you have published, with pleasure and profit..." The tone is that of an attentive and benevolent colleague, underlining his abiding interest in his correspondent's work. This letter bears witness to the scholarly exchanges and intellectual networks within the French medical-psychological community between the wars. Camille Streletski practiced at the Hôpital Sainte-Anne, where he rubbed shoulders with Jacques Lacan, and took part in the development of scientific graphology.
