Very interesting set relating to a diplomatic and logistical mission led by the Governor of Senegal to the native kings and princes, with a view to their coming to Saint-Louis to ratify the peace. The documents detail with remarkable precision : mission expenses diplomatic gifts victuals transport camel rental cotton supplies livestock, millet, sugar, brandy gifts to local sovereigns Particularly telling are the following references: "to fetch the King to come to St Louis to ratify the peace". and : "gifts offered to the native kings".
