NOLHAC (Pierre Girauld de) - Lot 200
NOLHAC (Pierre Girauld de) (1859 - 1936) French poet, scholar and historian, curator of the Musée de Versailles. Autograph letter signed "P. de Nolhac". Versailles, Palais de Versailles, August 24, 1889. 2 pages in-8, on letterhead of the Ministère de l'Instruction publique et des Beaux-Arts - Direction des Musées nationaux. Long administrative and personal letter addressed to a director. Nolhac reports on an approach he made to M. Hémond, rue de Grenelle, in order to resolve certain difficulties with him, who was unfortunately absent. He then describes his intervention with the Direction des Beaux-Arts, and in particular with Larroumet, who agreed to meet his requests and assume responsibility for them. Finally, the author requests authorization to leave his post for a period of about six weeks to carry out a mission, specifying that he will report officially on his return. Fine signature at the end of the second leaf.
