MILITARY MILITARY MEDAL - FIRST EMPIRE / RESTORATION Diploma in the name of the Emperor Large diploma on vellum, printed and handwritten, rich engraved allegorical frame (arms, military trophies, bundles, laurel wreaths), bearing the words: "Military Medal - In the name of the Emperor". Nominative document awarded to a Grand Connétable of the Imperial Order of the Legion of Honor, signed and countersigned. Large, decorative composition typical of official honorary documents of the 19th century. Beautifully engraved frame with military and symbolic subjects, adorned with trophies of arms and imperial emblems, of high quality craftsmanship. The text confers on its holder the decoration of the Military Medal, a major distinction rewarding services rendered to the Nation, in continuity with the imperial orders. Condition: Folded document (traces of old folds), marginal wear, soiling and foxing, with no major damage to the decoration, which remains highly legible and spectacular.
