MASSON (Frédéric) - Lot 172
MASSON (Frédéric) (1847 - 1923) French historian, specialist in the First Empire. Member of the Académie française (1903), secrétaire perpétuel (1919). Autograph letter-card signed "Frédéric Masson" addressed to Lefèvre-Pontalis. Paris, March 20, 1915. 1/2 p. in-8. Letter-card with handwritten address, stamp and postmarks. Bill of an administrative and relational nature, in which Masson informs his correspondent of Henri Cochin's change of address, and specifies the arrangements for a meeting: "...only convene the members for 6 p.m., as he is at the Academy that day and fears not to have arrived by 5:30 p.m." A document typical of exchanges between academics and scholars in the early 20th century.
