LAPONNERAYE (Albert-Philippe Dullin de) - Lot 140
LAPONNERAYE (Albert-Philippe Dullin de) (1808 - 1849) Republican historian and publicist, figure of the neo-Babouvist movement, close to the revolutionary circles of the July Monarchy. Autograph letter signed "Laponneraye". Paris, 1843. 1 page in-4 (folded), autograph address on verso. Letter addressed to a correspondent to whom he proposes the distribution of his work: Histoire des rivalités et des luttes de la France et de l'Angleterre. Laponneraye asks his correspondent to sell several hundred copies still available, and sets out the commercial terms: "You would charge me 10 fr. per copy and I would give you the 13th free of charge." He also announced that he would pay a personal visit in the event of an agreement.
