HAUREAU (Jean-Barthélemy) - Lot 108
HAUREAU (Jean-Barthélemy) (1812 - 1896) Historian, publicist, member of the Institut, former people's representative. Autograph letter signed "B. Haureau". [s.l.n.d.], probably circa 1867 (mention of the Universal Exhibition). 1 p. in-8. Letter to a correspondent about business in progress. Haureau indicates that he has met with the Minister of Finance and Mr. Pallein, and states: "Your affairs are in good shape, but I need to talk to you...". He mentions his obligations as a juror at the World's Fair, which keep him away, and arranges a meeting at the Imprimerie for the following day.
