GROSCLAUDE (Frédéric, known as Étienne). - Lot 100
GROSCLAUDE (Frédéric, known as Étienne). Born in Paris in 1858 - died in 1932. Journalist, columnist and humorist. Autograph bill signed "E. Grosclaude", addressed to Monsieur le Colonel Vallière. Paris, July 28, 1900. 1 page in-12 on blue paper addressed to him. Address, stamp and postmarks preserved. Charming invitation bill in which Grosclaude invites his correspondent to lunch "at the Automobile Club, place de la Concorde". This short message, simple and cordial in tone, illustrates Parisian sociability during the Belle Époque, between the world of journalism, elegant circles and worldly institutions. Testimony to the relational network of a prominent columnist, close to the literary and journalistic circles of the late XIXᵉ century. Autograph signature.
