Autograph letter signed Cour des Pairs, January 14, 1837. 1 page in-4. Very fine "Cour des Pairs" printed letterhead. Signed "Franck Carré". Judicial and institutional correspondence Letter concerning the organization of the work of the Cour des Pairs, an exceptional court under the July Monarchy. Franck-Carré discusses the holding of sessions and calendar constraints, in connection with hearings and cases in progress. In particular, he mentions considerations of procedure and internal organization, revealing the concrete workings of this now-defunct institution.
