Reissue of this legendary album, originally published in 1953 as the first part of Hergé's space diptych. The story follows Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock to Syldavia, where they join Professor Tournesol in mankind's greatest scientific adventure: the conquest of the moon. This album is famous for its striking technical and scientific realism, Hergé having surrounded himself with solid documentation to design the famous red-and-white checkerboard rocket, which has become an absolute icon of world comics.
