Very handsome collection from Journal Spirou, corresponding to 128ᵉ Album du Journal, published in 1972. The particularly evocative cover unfolds a scene of exploration in a lush jungle: Spirou, Fantasio and Spip discover an imposing stone statue in an almost archaeological atmosphere of adventure. The words "700 pages of fun and adventure" underline the richness of the content. The first plate is particularly successful, with its palette of deep greens and its very "adventure novel" composition, making it one of the most attractive volumes in this sequence.
