The great cold belt.
NIC and CAUVIN
La ceinture du grand froid.
Dupuis, 1991. In-4 hardback, boards illustrated in color.
1991 reprint of this thirtieth volume in the adventures of Spirou and Fantasio. This album marks the short period during which the series was entrusted to the duo Nic Broca (drawing) and Raoul Cauvin (script). The story takes our heroes on a polar adventure aboard a ship, blending Cauvin's characteristic humor with a rounder graphic style than their predecessors.
Although this period is sometimes less highlighted than the Franquin or Tome & Janry cycles, it offers dynamic, accessible stories, representative of the evolution of the series in the '80s.
