The Smurfette - 2 Smurf Stories.
Dupuis, 1983. In-4 hardback, boards illustrated in color.
1983 reprint (mentioning 3rd series) of this third album in the series, which has become one of the most famous in Peyo's universe. In addition to the eponymous story of Gargamel's creation of Smurfette to stir up trouble in the village, the album contains the story "La faim des Schtroumpfs" ("The Smurfs' Hunger").
Peyo's genius is expressed in a perfectly legible clear line and a sense of storytelling that blends wonder and psychology. This opus marks a turning point in the series with the introduction of the first recurring female character, permanently altering the dynamic of the little blue people.
