In-4 hardback, boards illustrated in color. Emblematic album in the Lucky Luke series, combining Morris's drawings and René Goscinny's screenplay, in one of the most sought-after classic titles of the period. The volume bears the mention © Dargaud Éditeur 1973 with legal deposit of 1st quarter 1974, but the presence of the title Le Grand Duc in the list of works already published on the fourth plate rules out the original edition; it is thus an early later print run, retaining the historic Dargaud layout. A complete copy, in generally good used condition: slightly dulled headbands and corners, minor rubbing to covers, old label trace on second cover, handwritten name on title page. There is a large tear in the white endpaper, but no damage to the title page or the body of the album. A fine reading and collector's copy, despite this interior defect.
