Happy who, like Cubitus.
Éditions du Lombard, 1981. In-4 hardback, boards illustrated in color.
Sixth volume in the cult series featuring Cubitus, the big, debonair, philosophical white dog with the yellow tail. Luc Dupanloup (alias Dupa) delivers a succession of gags in which absurd humor and the poetry of everyday life mingle with incessant quarrels with Sénéchal, the neighbor's black cat.
Dupa's style, a direct descendant of the Marcinelle school, is characterized by round, dynamic strokes and highly expressive characters. Cubitus, with his giant cuddly appearance and gently ironic reflections, became a key figure in Tintin and the French-Belgian comics of the 70s and 80s.
