OCTAVE-DENIS-VICTOR GUILLONNET (1872-1967) & MANUFACTURE ART (ATELIER DES RÉNOVATEURS DE LA TAPISSERIE) "Annunciation", Tapestry in hand-woven polychrome wools, depicting an Annunciation at a fountain. Signed in the weave with the artist's name and workshop mark, a coat of arms animated by a dove of peace, and Ami de la paix, and dated 1948. H 250 x W 210 cm History A first example was woven in 1949 for the Patriarchate of Beirut. The Atelier des Rénovateurs de la Tapisserie was created during the 1940 war by Antoine Behna, with Guillaume Janneau as technical advisor.
