ANDRÉ BRETON (1896-1966) - Lot 12
ANDRÉ BRETON (1896-1966) Autograph letter signed, addressed to Gwennaël BOLLORÉ. Paris, January 24, 1951. 1 page in-8 on cream paper, folded for mailing, autograph envelope retained. Letter addressed to Gwennaël Bolloré, in which André Breton discusses a manuscript that his correspondent wishes to publish and explains his reluctance to relinquish it. The Surrealist leader explains that it is difficult for him to deny his friends access to this text, which he wants them to see, and which he considers important for himself and those close to him. He also mentions Madame Bolloré, whom he asks to accept his best wishes. Beautiful set including the letter and its autograph envelope.
