(Very good overall condition, sound interior, light soiling to top of boards, very slightly dulled prickly corners)
La Jungle en folie - Le Monstre... du loque néness! is an emblematic album in the humor series created by Mic Delinx (drawing) and Godard (script), first published by Dargaud in 1983.
This cult series, unmistakable for its absurd humor and expressive lines, occupies a special place in Franco-Belgian comics of the 1980s.
This album presents the crazy world of the Jungle en folie, where animals and humans evolve in a totally absurd world, punctuated by visual gags and zany situations. Mic Delinx's lively, cartoonish drawings, combined with Godard's burlesque writing, give the whole an immediately identifiable graphic and narrative identity.
The copy on display features an original ink drawing by Mic Delinx, made directly in the album, accompanied by a personal dedication dated 1984. This original drawing, visible in the photograph, depicts the characters from the series in an original humorous scene, executed with a confident, spontaneous line, typical of the author's style. The presence of this drawing transforms the album into a unique piece, well beyond a simple collector's copy.
The album is in good overall condition, with a solid binding and well-preserved pages. Slight signs of use are in keeping with the age of the book and do not alter the readability or appeal of the copy, which retains its full visual impact.
