LÉOPOLD-ÉMILE REUTLINGER (1863-1937) Description: Original photograph dedicated, dated and signed. The photograph shows a portrait of the singer Charlotte WYNS taken by the famous photographer REUTLINGER. The singer is wearing her stage costume for the role of MIGNON (act 1), the title role in the opera MIGNON by composer Ambroise THOMAS. This photograph includes a signed and dated letter from the singer addressed "au grand Maitre". We believe this photograph must have been sent to the composer of MIGNON. Charlotte Wyns, Charlotte de Bruyn-Wyns (1868 - 1917) was a French lyric artist and mezzo-soprano who sang at the Opéra-comique. Ambroise THOMAS (1811 - 1896) was a French composer. He was particularly renowned in the 19th century for his operas, including the famous "MIGNON".
