GUSTAVE HENRI ÉMILE BLANCHOT KNOWN AS GUS BOFA (1883-1968) Preparatory drawing for a satirical illustration about Natalia Goncharona. Indian ink drawing on cardboard. Studio mark "Atelier GUSBOFA" in red in the right-hand corner of the drawing. Captioned: "Costume of Miss Rarjarina designed by Miss Goncharona" - Portrat of the same Miss Rarjarina by the same Miss Goncharona". H 23.8 x W 31.4 cm Natalia Goncharona was a Russian painter (1881-1962). In 1906, she took part in the Russian art exhibition organized by Serge Diaghilev at the Salon d'Automne in Paris. In the 1920s, she was one of the principal painters for Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. Condition: good, for this charming charge illustration project, we note a fold in the upper right-hand corner of the drawing(photograph)
