1859-1931. Writer. Colette's first husband (from 1893 to 1906). L.A.S. "Willy" to a colleague. undated. 1 page small in-8, addressed to him.
...Did you write the article in S.I.M., or in the Marseilles paper whose name escapes me, or in a few Parisian sheets, which irritated Madame Colette, who was annoyed that you had named me as a contributor to the Claudines?... Willy had improperly signed the first novels written by Colette (Claudine à l'école, Claudine à Paris...). The novelist eventually recovered ownership of her work.
