Vigny wishes to make corrections to a poem: ...M. de Vigny begs Monsieur Urbain Canel to remember to send him the proofs of the poem he gave him; he has several changes to make and cannot let it appear and sign it without having corrected it...Urbain Canel, bookseller-publisher on rue du Bac in Paris, is best known for his repeated bankruptcies. The best-known was also the first. It affected the very young Balzac, who became involved in one of these projects. But he didn't hold a grudge.
