Je t'embrasse mon léopard I miss you...Léo Lapara is a French actor who was Louis Jouvet's stage manager and secretary. In 1975, he published a book of memories: Dix ans avec Jouvet. He met Louis Jouvet in Rio de Janeiro while on tour. He hired Lapara, an unknown actor at the time, to share the four years of touring South America, during which French culture was spread far from the old continent. Lapara appeared in Jouvet's usual repertoire: Jean Sarment's Léopold, le bien-aimé, Paul Claudel's L'annonce faite à Marie, Molière's Le Médecin malgré lui, and more. Back in Paris, Léo Lapara, a loyal friend, shared the last years of Louis Jouvet's life until his death, living with him at times on Quai Louis-Blériot. His book 10 ans avec Louis Jouvet bears witness to their friendship. Léo Lapara was not only Jouvet's secretary, but also his partner and confidant. Jouvet signed "Le Patron", a diminutive of his nickname "Le Patronminet".
