PIERRE GEORGES JEANNIOT (1848-1934) "The Seine at Bougival", Oil on panel. Signed and dated 1922 H 31.5 x W 41 cm In this painting of one of the Impressionists' favorite spots, Jeanniot, who was a friend of Degas and Manet, masterfully continues the legacy of this great period in the early 20th century. Widely recognized as an illustrator, his painting is punctuated by masterpieces, some of which are preserved in major museums (Orsay, Petit-Palais...). A painter to rediscover.
