MANUFACTURE DE SARREGUEMINES Large ovoid vase, "Kurde", in stoneware known as "terre d'Egypte", circa 1880-1895, incised decoration of a succession of polychrome friezes animated in the center by a gilded enameled passing lion decoration, polychrome enamels, gold highlights, earthenware background. Signed "Sarreguemines" and stamped "1767-828-M". H 59 cm HISTORICAL A pair of similar vases are in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. Inv. 2008.97.1.1-2
