Pascaline MARRE (born in 1972) La Grenade, Ed 1 of 7 Pigment print numbered and signed, 2023 anti-reflection glass, wood frame 66 cm x 48 cm Born in 1972. Lives and works in Paris. Author and photographer, graduate in Art History, Drew University, USA. Her work explores impermanence and seeks to make visible what she calls our interstices of reality. She has produced several publishing projects including Ghosts of Anatolia, a look at the Armenian Genocide, 2015. Introduction Anouche Kunth, historian (CNRS). This work was presented during the FIAC, at the Regard Sud gallery, Lyon, as well as at the Binôme gallery, Paris, with unpublished images where the negative is presented in relation to the series under the title ArméniÉe. This exploration of the negative is presented in the form of an installation in the group exhibition of MENK at the CAC, Mont de Marsan. At the same time, Pascaline Marre carries out commissions, including a recent carte blanche for the Centre des Monuments Nationaux at the Abbaye de la Sauve-Majeure, near Bordeaux, in the context of a traveling group exhibition. For the past few years, Pascaline Marre has been expanding her practice to new modes of creation around a project entitled L'équilibriste presented at the studio in Paris and for which she was a finalist for the Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière prize of the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
