Visual artist whose practice mixes photography, installation, collage and video. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Literature from Paris 8 and a Master's degree in Applied Arts from UCLA. She has worked as a She worked as a reporter for the UNHCR in Armenia and as an editorial assistant for Magnum Photos in Paris before focusing on her practice as a photographer, editor and graphic designer. She is the co-founder of the publishing house Orpheus Standing Alone. While continually developing her practice, she explores notions of memory, identity and intimacy, using the family as a cornerstone of her analysis. Working primarily around the archive, both in re-contextualization and decontextualization, she aspires to illustrate the idea of memory, its impact on the present and future, its limits and erasure, and its its limits and its erasure, as well as the distortions of perception linked to the passage of time. At a time when the omnipresence of digital technology is confusing reality and fiction, Camille Lévêque attempts a non-conformist artistic approach. In 2014, she founded the Live Wild collective, composed of female artists with different histories, personalities and backgrounds.
