Henry Étienne DUMAIGE (1830-1888). Mantelpiece in bronze with dark patina and black marble. It is composed of : - A pair of candelabras with seven arms of lights arranged on three rows. Base in plinth, the shaft in baluster. Two handles decorated with mascarons. The arms of light decorated with scrolls of foliage and frieze of pearls. - A clock: four clawed feet decorated with acanthus leaves. The ring dial is with Roman numerals. It is surmounted by a sculpture of a philosopher sitting on a chair in the antique style. Circa 1850 (One foot damaged at the back). A black patinated bronze and black marble clock and candelabras, circa 1850 (A broken foot on the back). H 66 x W 63 x D 18 cm (clock) - H 26 x W 24 3/4 x D 7 1/8 in (clock). H 77 x W 30 cm (candelabras) - H 30 1/4 x X 11 3/4 in (candelabras). PROVENANCE: Furniture from the Chambre des Huissiers de Justice de Paris.
