Edouard WOLTON (born in 1986) Coral Mountain acrylic and oil on canvas, 2023 100 cm x 81 cm Born in 1986, Edouard Wolton is a French artist who lives and works in Paris. His work spreads between painting, engraving and installations, around the representation of the Landscape and the forms of nature. His work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions in Paris such as "Agartha" in 2015 and "Ultima Thule" in 2019 at the gallery les filles du or "Cosmos" in 2017 at the Museum of Mineralogy of the Ecole des Mines. He also participates in a number of group exhibitions in France and internationally such as "l'Art dans les Chapelles" in 2021, "print in the post print" at the CAA museum in Hangzhou in 2018, "noir" in 2018 at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. He coordinates several projects related to the fields of art publishing, such as the collective PRINTJAM (based in Leipzig), the Paris Peinture Plus exhibitions or the PRINT TEMPS exhibitions at the Fiminco foundation in Romainville, where he directs the printmaking workshop. In May 2023, he will will present a large exhibition in duo with Charlotte Charbonnel at the Aquarium of Paris. He discovered Armenia in 2013 during a residency that will strongly influence his work, particularly in the series of Archéo Astronomies, and dreamed landscapes.
