JORDAN / ORDER OF WISAM AL ORDANI AL ISTIKLAL Jordan - Order of Independence, founded in 1921, complete set of Grand Cross including silver, gold and enamel plaque, medal, rosette and cord. Swiss made by Huguenin. In a case bearing the coat of arms. The Order of Independence (Wisam Al Ordani Al Istiklal) was instituted by Hussein Bin Ali, the Sherif of Mecca and later King of Hijaz, in 1921. The Order was originally created to commemorate Arab independence, and awarded to personnel in recognition of services rendered to independence.
