WEDGWOOD - Lot 33
WEDGWOOD Portland" model vase of baluster form with two handles, in black jasperware, with neoclassical white bas-relief decoration featuring mythological figures in architectural ruins. Probably inspired by the myth of Peleus and Thetis or Joshia and her sons, this decoration is a remake of a vase interpreted by Josiah Wedgwood in the late 18th century from a Roman antique in the Barberrini collection, now in the British Museum. England, early 20th century. Branded "Wedgwood" under the base. H 20 cm
