French edition of this famous Arabic erotic treatise, written in the 16th century by Ahmad Ibn Souleiman. Translated from Turkish by Abdul-Haqq Effendi. The work, which could be subtitled *The Art of Love Among the Arabs*, brings together advice, anecdotes, and stories relating to love and sexuality in the Islamic world. In particular, it includes the main chapters of *So That the Old Man May Regain His Youth*, to which the translator Abdul-Haqq Effendi added, in the 19th century, elements borrowed from other works of Eastern erotic literature. The text describes amorous practices and positions, ways to stimulate desire, as well as a collection of tales and anecdotes drawn from the Arab and Eastern traditions.
