DELAUNAY - Lot 79
DELAUNAY HOOG (Michel). Robert Delaunay. Paris, Flammarion, 1976. Quarto, publisher’s hardcover with a color-illustrated dust jacket. Numerous black-and-white and color reproductions. A seminal monograph published by Michel Hoog, then curator at the Musée de l’Orangerie, devoted to one of the leading figures of Orphism and French abstraction. It examines, in particular, Delaunay’s explorations of color, simultaneous contrasts, and movement. The book is well-cited in the Centre Pompidou’s bibliographic references for several of Delaunay’s major works. Centre Pompidou A good copy; the dust jacket is slightly scuffed, with a few small marks and creases from normal use.
