Large square quarto, white publisher’s hardcover illustrated with a vintage photograph of Paris. PHOTOGRAPHIC ALBUM DEDICATED TO PARIS OF YORE, BASED ON THE LAROUSSE ARCHIVES. A collection of vintage photographs depicting the transformations of Paris, its streets, shops, transportation, monuments, and scenes of daily life. Illustrations drawn from the Larousse archives, including, in particular, views of bustling streets, streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, shops, and street furniture. Of particular note is a photograph of the newsstand on Boulevard des Italiens in 1893, attributed to Rougeron. Condition: a fairly good copy. Cover is slightly soiled, with scuffs, small marks, and a visible crease/tear along the lower edge; interior is well-preserved.
