PAUL BEYER (1873–1945) Saint Bon—Patron Saint of Potters Stoneware sculpture, Lyon period, circa 1930, depicting the bishop in procession, wearing a deeply fluted alb and a richly decorated chasuble with blue highlights, as well as a miter; the background is beige, ochre, and brown. Hole for the crozier. Incised signature “Beyer.” (Metal crozier missing). H 51 cm History Similar works are found in the collections of the Manufactures nationales de Sèvres, Mobilier national, and the Musée d’Art moderne de Strasbourg.
