A very fine vintage collection of *Le Journal Spirou*, corresponding to issue No. 71, bringing together issues No. 1081 through No. 1091—that is, the very beginning of 1959, right in the midst of the classic Dupuis era. The particularly evocative cover depicts the Count of Champignac standing in front of a red car, set against a nocturnal scene of bare trees under a full moon. The artwork, by André Franquin, is one of the iconic covers from the late 1950s. This issue is part of the highly sought-after series of vintage 54-70 collections, particularly prized by fans of Franquin, Spirou and Fantasio, and Marsupilami.
