SPIROU - Journal Album, No. 66 Dupuis, March 1958. Large quarto hardcover, red cloth spine, front cover illustrated in color. A very fine vintage collection of *Le Journal Spirou*, corresponding to issue no. 66 of the famous series of bound albums published by Dupuis. This volume brings together issues No. 1040 through 1049, published in the spring of 1958, during the heyday of the Marcinelle School. It features the great artists who make these collections so compelling: Franquin, Morris, Peyo, Will, and Roba, from a period particularly sought after by collectors of the early Spirou albums. The cover, one of the most appealing in the series, depicts Spirou and a child in a basket descending from a trailer, in a particularly lively composition by Franquin, immediately recognizable for his sense of movement and graphic storytelling.
