Republican historian and journalist, a leading figure in the Neo-Babouvist movement, closely associated with the revolutionary circles of the July Monarchy.
Autograph letter signed “Laponneraye.”

1 page, in-4 (folded), with handwritten address on the reverse.
Letter addressed to a correspondent to whom he proposes the distribution of his work: *History of the Rivalries and Struggles Between France and England*.
Laponneraye asks his correspondent to help sell several hundred copies still available, setting the terms of the deal: “You would charge me 10 francs per copy, and I would give you the 13th copy free of charge.”
He also announces that he will visit him in person if an agreement is reached.
