HAUREAU (Jean-Barthélemy). - Lot 139
HAUREAU (Jean-Barthélemy). (1812–1896) Historian, journalist, member of the Institut, former member of the National Assembly. Autograph letter signed “B. Haureau.” [no place, no date], probably around 1867 (mention of the World’s Fair). 1 p., in-8. Letter addressed to a correspondent regarding current affairs. Haureau states that he met with the Minister of Finance and Mr. Pallein, and adds: “Your affairs are in good order; but I must speak with you…” He mentions his duties as a juror at the World’s Fair, which are keeping him busy, and arranges a meeting at the printing house for the following day.
