ANDRÉ-VINCENT (Philippe-Ignace). Born in 1911—died in 1986. French theologian and jurist. Attorney at the Court of Appeals, former president of the bar association. Autograph letter signed “Philippe André-Vincent,” addressed to “Monsieur.” [Montpellier], March 28, 1937. 4 pages, in-8 format. An interesting cover letter and editorial solicitation in which André-Vincent sends a copy of his book *Les idées politiques de Chateaubriand* (Chateaubriand’s Political Ideas), based on a thesis in public law defended at the University of Montpellier. He asks his correspondent to please read and evaluate it, while explaining the circumstances of its publication by the Librairie du Recueil Sirey.
