MAN RAY. - Lot 201
MAN RAY. Paris, Sirroco, 2005. Square quarto, illustrated publisher's hardcover. An elegant monograph dedicated to Man Ray (1890–1976), one of the leading figures of Surrealism and 20th-century photography. The book traces his entire artistic career through a rich selection of reproductions: portraits, rayograms, solarizations, fashion photographs, surrealist objects, and iconic nudes, including *Le Violon d’Ingres*, *Les Larmes*, *Noire et Blanche*, and his famous experiments conducted in Paris during the 1920s and 1930s. Published in a particularly elegant format, this volume serves as an excellent introduction to the artist’s work, highlighting his decisive influence on modern photography, the decorative arts, advertising, and experimental cinema. Beautiful black-and-white illustrations reproducing Man Ray’s most famous works. Very good copy, despite a few slight signs of wear on the covers. Interior is fresh.
