EARLY 19TH-CENTURY ITALY Pair of silver holy water fonts with hemispherical basins and wall-mounted plaques decorated with repoussé motifs of flowers, ribbon bows, and a frieze of cascading palm leaves. The center features a gilded bronze plaque under glass depicting the Madonna della Seggiola after Raphael (signs of wear; one of the lamp bases, shaped like a cherub’s head, needs to be reattached).
