SPIROU - Journal album, n°66 Dupuis, March 1958. Large in-4 hardback, red cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color. A very handsome early collection from Journal Spirou, corresponding to number 66 of the famous series of bound albums published by Dupuis. This volume includes issues no. 1040 to 1049, published in spring 1958, at the height of the Marcinelle school's heyday. Here we find the great names that make these collections so interesting: Franquin, Morris, Peyo, Will, Roba, in a period particularly sought-after by fans of early Spirou albums. The cover, one of the most attractive in this series, features Spirou and a child in a basket descending from a caravan, in a particularly lively composition by Franquin, immediately recognizable for his sense of movement and graphic storytelling.
