SPIROU - Journal album, n°61 - Lot 91
SPIROU - Journal album, n°61 Dupuis, April 1957. Large in-4 hardback, red cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color. A rare and sought-after early collection from Journal Spirou, corresponding to issue 61 of the prestigious series of bound albums published by Dupuis. This volume includes issues no. 990 to 1002, covering the period from April 4 to June 27, 1957, a particularly emblematic period in the newspaper's history. It brings together contributions from the great names in Franco-Belgian comics, including Franquin, Morris, Peyo, Jijé, Will and Paape, at the heart of the golden age of the Marcinelle school. The cover, particularly decorative and highly sought-after, features the Marsupilami in a humorous composition, facing Spirou and several scientists, in a setting typical of Franquin's universe. This issue is one of the best-loved back issues of the series, thanks to the presence of a Franquin cover around the Marsupilami, highly attractive to collectors.
