SPIROU - Journal album, n°133 - Lot 41
SPIROU - Journal album, n°133 Dupuis, 1974. Large in-4 hardback, red cloth spine, first cover illustrated in color. Very handsome annual collection from Journal Spirou, corresponding to the 133ᵉ album, published by Dupuis in 1974. The particularly attractive first plate features Jerry Spring, an emblematic figure of the Franco-Belgian western, depicted full-length in an elegant, highly graphic composition. The hero's sober silhouette against a light background gives this volume a strong decorative presence in the bookcase. The side banner announces "724 pages of adventure!" and brings together a fine collection of the great Dupuis series: Les Tuniques Bleues, Yoko Tsuno, Gaston, Tif et Tondu, Boule et Bill, Barbe-Noire and Sammy, among others. This volume is particularly sought-after by fans of the 1970s, both for the quality of its cover and for the presence of Jerry Spring, whose stock remains solid.
