EMILE PATOUT GOLDSMITH - Lot 19
EMILE PATOUT GOLDSMITH Nephrite piriform vase with cut sides, set in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold. The neckline is delicately chased with a frieze of interlacing patterns punctuated by palmettes. The cream-enameled metal handles are decorated with swan heads, leafy rings and ibex heads. The lower belt is embellished with drapery motifs of palms and flowers, and rests on a base enamelled with a frieze of green laurels and red pearls. The border is chased with wavelets. The ensemble stands on claw feet. Goldsmith's hallmark and title mark. H 12 cm Gross weight : The workshop of Emile PATOUT, active from 1900 to 1913, specialized in the creation of small objects of virtue and smokers' items, with a marked taste and talent for the use of enamels.
