VERNET (Charles Horace, known as Carle). 1758-1836. Painter, draughtsman and lithographer. L.A.S. "Carle Vernet" to M. de la Chabeaussière. S.l., July 10, 1817. Address and postmarks. Small paper loss caused by opening the letter, without affecting the text. Vernet addresses the "secrétaire perpétuel de la Société académique des Enfans d'Apollon" about a delay in payments ...Circumstances you may know [...] have made it impossible for me to pay. The Société académique des Enfans d'Apollon, founded in 1741, began offering its members an annual public concert in 1784.
