THOMAS CANTO (B. 1979) - Lot 100
THOMAS CANTO (B. 1979) BLOCK BETON N°1, Mixed media and collage on canvas. Titled, countersigned and dated on reverse. H 100 x W 100 cm Thomas Canto works between Lyon, Shanghai and Dubai. His work explores the intersections between contemporary architecture, urban dynamics and spatial perception through sculptures, installations, paintings and large-scale interventions. Drawing inspiration from both Op Art pioneers and visionary architects such as Zaha Hadid, Tadao Ando and Jean Nouvel, Thomas Canto develops a precise geometric language in which transparency, tension and movement become compositional elements. His immersive environments invite viewers to physically engage with the space, changing perspective and scale. His "sensitive architectures", as he calls them, make invisible forces visible: the flow of the city, structural rhythms and the silent order that lies behind apparent chaos. Mirrors, steel, wires and projected light make up installations that echo today's architectural and technological landscapes.
