Paris, published by Deforet, 64 Rue N.-D. des Petits-Champs; Printed by Grognet, 16 rue des Écoles, [1870–1871]. Large satirical lithograph in black depicting William I as a grotesque figure, surrounded by small scenes of soldiers and holding a long proclamation. The text begins: “Soldiers, if I were not such a great king, I would be a Parisian….” Signed P. Klenck. Horizontal fold, significant tear with a small loss in the lower margin, minor foxing.
